Hydraulic pump products and a wide variety, according to the current technical level and statistical data, the main performance comparison of commonly used hydraulic pumps, application scope and manufacturers are listed in Table 1.
Table 1 Main performance comparison, application scope and manufacturer of commonly used hydraulic pump products

Note: The varieties, product models and specifications of each factory are subject to their product samples.
In the design, use and maintenance of the hydraulic system, the hydraulic pump should be reasonably selected according to the required working conditions.
Usually, the type of pump selected from the gear pump, vane pump and plunger pump is first selected according to the host working condition, power size and system requirements for its performance and system pressure, and then the specific specifications are determined according to the maximum working pressure and maximum flow calculated by the system.
Also consider quantitative or variable, prime mover type, speed, volumetric efficiency, total efficiency, self-priming characteristics, noise and other factors. These factors are usually reflected in the product sample or manual, should be carefully studied one by one, unclear should consult the supplier or the manufacturer.
The hydraulic pump product sample is marked with the rated pressure value and the maximum pressure value, and the hydraulic pump should be selected according to the rated pressure value. Only when there is a short overload in use, or the range specified in the sample, the hydraulic pump is allowed to be selected according to the highest pressure value, otherwise it will affect the efficiency and life of the hydraulic pump. In the hydraulic pump product sample, the rated flow (or displacement) value of each pump is indicated.
When selecting a hydraulic pump, it must be ensured that the pump corresponds to the specified speed of the rated flow rate, otherwise it will not get the required flow rate. It is necessary to avoid the increase or decrease of the oil transmission of the hydraulic pump by arbitrarily changing the speed, otherwise it cannot ensure sufficient volumetric efficiency, and it will speed up the wear of the pump.
